correcting the big mistake

Write a yearly target has become my routine activity at the beginning of the year with my birthday as the pitstop.
After yearsssss making the yearly resolution, this year I realized my big mistake:
I never really asked God what He wanted me to achieve on that year.
I just made the targets which I thought good and right and assumed that God would absolutely agree.

Not only that. For some other stuffs, I did the same mistake by not asking God.
Somehow in the past I assumed if it's not God's will then He wouldn't let it happen.
If it happened, it meant He approved it.
Which is not totally correct cos sometimes things happened as the consequences of what we sowed before, not God's initial plan..

It also brought me to the understanding of what we should have expected when we prayed to be sensitive to God's voice on a matter.
It should not be merely waiting for a 'yes' or 'no' on moving to a new job, choosing a life partner, running a new business, buying a house, etc.
Deeper than that, pray that we could be sensitive to understand what's important and what's not.
What's eternal and what's not.
What's precious and what's not.
What's necessary and what's not.
What's good and what's not.
Pray that we could see like He sees. feel like He feels. think like He thinks.
*part of Christlikeness process.

So, I took out some targets (or make it just optional) and added some He told me to write.

Now I can say, let's do it God!

:D
